Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-08-19.
BAND vs Buzz is a reading publication. It does not require an account, and it does not ask you to sign in to read any page in the record.
What we collect
- Messages you send us. If you write to us through the contact page or by email, we hold the name, email address, and message text you provide, so we can reply and keep a record of corrections raised against the ledger.
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider records ordinary request data such as IP address, user agent, and requested path, for security and availability.
What we do not collect
We set no advertising cookies, run no cross-site tracking pixels, sell no personal data, and build no visitor profiles. Reading a page does not add you to any mailing list.
How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept while a correction or dispute is open, and afterwards as part of the published corrections history described on the disclosures page. Server logs are retained by our host on their own short rolling schedule.
Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. Write to {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} and we will answer in writing.
Third parties
Pages load web fonts from Google Fonts, and outbound links point at vendor documentation and source material. Those parties operate under their own privacy terms; we send them no personal data about you beyond what your browser sends when it requests a file.
Changes
Changes to this policy are dated in place. Continued use of the site after a dated change means the revised policy applies. Questions go to {{CONTACT_EMAIL}}.
